Music I Have Composed 

"(letter from) Houston" and "Broken Hearted" were both composed with my good friend Sal Spiritoso, who has since passed from this realm. "Houston" portrays the view of a traveler who has migrated to Houston and is relating his circumstances to someone by mail. Broken Hearted sings of unrequited love.
These songs are pure Americana.

"Tuesday Morning" was written several days after returning home from the 9/11 tragedy. Being in Manhattan on that
day gave me profound insight into how traumatic these
events were and how they really shaped the National perspective. This song speaks of that point of view.





"Never Said Goodbye" and "Be My Girl" are tunes which
have a pop style, although they are quite different
from each other in flavor and message.



"Never Said Goodbye" was inspired by the sound of Otis Redding and the feel of his sound set the style,
although it is completely original and does
not sound like his music at all.

"Be My Girl" was inspired by early 1960's musicians, such as
Billy J. Kramer, The Searchers, and, of course, The Beatles.
It concerns showing ones love for another in a
vulnerable and sensitve way. 





"Outlaw Jesse James" portrays a bluegrass style and features New Jersey State Banjo Champ John Sheehan, as well as
Lew Gelfond's premiere fiddling. It lays out the history
of America's most famous outlaw in a spirited and
unique manner.

"Dreamin'" is another song of this style, featuring the same musicians and simply sings of one's love for another.
A simple tune, honest, elegant and unpretentious.





"Takin' It Easy" is the only song recorded with a 12 string guitar and features very rockin' instrumentation. It 
exhibits a punkish attitude about just wanting to
take it easy, without any pretense or head
games. Love likes to take it easy and this
song makes that point.





Next, and lastly is "The Love Song". This song was featured in Producer Fiore DeRosa's movie Distraction and tells someone that they are loved. This song was influenced
by The Beatle's music and is simply a
traditional Love Song.
